oh, at first we do
deceive, when first we spend and
not a penny see -
Savings got eaten
by the high interest rates
bread water and beans -
When we do not save
Send our dollars to other shores
Spent there, not at home -
I saved my money
Government made it worthless
Should have blown it all -
Deferred consumption!
If you save cash, cash will be
there when you need it. -
A penny is saved
If it doesn't roll itself
It is not earning
